Coaching for Businesses and Individuals

As a nonprofit, you have special bookkeeping and *accounting services needs. You might receive much of your income from donations and grants. Your financial statements have to address the requirements of auditors, as well as grantors and your board of directors. The consistency of your reporting may be a concern, since many nonprofits are staffed with part-time financial management professionals, use the services of volunteers, and/or are experiencing high turnover.

Q&A With Roxanne: How Does Coaching Work?

Q: How is coaching different from the bookkeeping and financial management work you do? Bookkeeping is recording the transactional information (deposits, expenses, etc.) and financial management is variety of reconciliations so we could prepare financial statements. The coaching focuses on specific areas that you are struggling with, need to think through or modify, make budget decision changes and see then in numbers, and more.

Q: Is the coaching about finances only? No! In discussions, often other issues and/or priorities arise that need to be addressed.

Q: What type of issues have you addressed in coaching? Expansion, moving/relocating an office, adding personnel, decreasing personnel, adding a new stream of revenue, and more.

Q: Why would I need coaching? Do you have a lingering question about either in your business or personal life where you feel stuck moving forward? Does it overwhelm you to think about it or to take action?
