JUNETEENTH – Virtual Celebrations in the Bay Area

Today is Juneteenth, a historical day that commemorates the end of slavery in the US and is observed annually on June 19th. This year’s celebrations are especially significant with all of the protests and civil unrest on social injustice around the nation and our world. 

Today, we celebrate freedom and take time to learn, reflect and listen. The pandemic won’t slow down Juneteenth celebrations around the Bay.  Even as some annual events are cancelled with the concern of the coronavirus, many local organizations are holding virtual celebrations to commemorate this day.
